The Immigration Department (ImmD) expects a peak in passenger flow during the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day Golden Week. Figures from the ImmD today show that as of 10 am, 195,000 passenger trips had been made, with about 134,000 departures, at least 88,000 mainly from the north, and more than 60,000 arrivals. In addition, according to travelers on the spot, a health code-free channel has been temporarily opened at the Futian Control Point to facilitate the cross-boundary travel of HK people.
According to the ImmD, as of 10 am today, the number of departures was 134,636, of which a total of 88,000 people travelled via land northbound control points, with the Lo Wu Control Point accounting for the largest number of departures, at 27,591, followed by the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point at 17,725, the Shenzhen Bay Port at 16,092, and the West Kowloon High Speed Rail Station at 13,612.
On the inbound side, as of 10 am, there were 60,747 arrivals, 11,000 via Lok Ma Chau Spur Line, followed by 10,000 at Lo Wu and 7,513 at Shenzhen Bay Port.
