Tomorrow (Sept. 29) is the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Observatory predicts that the weather will be generally cloudy, with brief periods of sunshine and a few showers during the day, and there will be a chance to see the moon between the clouds in the evening.

But on the day following the Mid-Autumn Festival (Sept. 30) and the National Day (Oct. 1), the weather will be generally good, although there will be one or two showers.

According to the Observatory, over the past few days, South China has been generally sunny and hot under the influence of an anticyclone at a high altitude. Yesterday's (Sept. 27) satellite cloud charts show that the cloud mainly affects the area around Hainan Island, while the weather along the Guangdong coast is generally good.

However, according to the latest weather forecast, the convective clouds associated with the high altitude disturbance currently located in the northeastern part of the South China Sea will gradually move westward and will bring sudden showers to the northern part of the South China Sea to the Guangdong coast in the next one to two days.

The Observatory also pointed out that some computerized weather models predicted the development of a low-pressure system in the northwestern Pacific Ocean next week, and the Observatory would closely monitor its movement.
