
Cycling from Hong Kong defeated South Korea on Wednesday (Sept. 27) to claim the bronze medal at the Asian Games in the women's team pursuit.
The team of Lee Sze-wing, Yang Qianyu, Leung Bo-yee and Leung Wing-yee completed the 4000-metre race in 4:28.888 seconds, nearly 1.3 seconds quicker than their opponents.
The SAR athletes fell behind in the middle of the race after starting with the lead.
They were able to outdistance the South Koreans at the finish line, earning HK its first track cycling medal in this year's competition.
The men's pursuit team, meanwhile, missed out on a place on the podium by completing their race in 4:05.507 seconds, nearly seven seconds slower than South Korea.
