Citybus recruits new bus captains, launching new bonus initiatives

Following Citybus' announcement of a significant headline pay rise of 4.3% earlier this month to recognize our colleagues' ongoing contribution, Citybus is proud to launch the "Referral Bonus" scheme. Any full-time colleague is eligible to receive a HK$5,000 "Referral Bonus" for each successful new Bus Captain recommendation.

Citybus is also actively recruiting additional talent to support the Night Vibes Hong Kong campaign and the ongoing economic recovery and expansion of its services. In addition, any new recruit applying for a full-time Bus Captain role who successfully completes the interview and recruitment process from 25th September to the end of October, will be eligible for a time-limited Autumn Festival special ''New Join Bonus'' of HK$18,000, meaning that with this they will enjoy an average monthly salary of up to HK$30,000.

According to Citybus, they are working hard to enhance the employment packages and work environments for colleagues, in order to strengthen their team and attract the best people to join the already talented and dedicated workforce and have introduced a number of new and enhanced measures to recruit talent.

Marcus Fu in charge of Citybus' Talent and Resourcing function said, "The new Referral Bonus aims at encouraging colleagues to recommend their relatives and good friends to join our Citybus family and make a career in the bus industry. Full-time Citybus colleagues are eligible to receive a HK$5,000 'Referral Bonus' for each successful recommendation of a new Bus Captain who joins Citybus upon completion of their probation period."

This refreshing recruitment initiative will utilize the extensive network and connections that our current colleagues have and enhance our efforts in maintaining a team of high-quality Bus Captains who provide safe and reliable journeys for our customers, Fu added.

Furthermore, Citybus is also delighted to announce an increase of 50% in the "New Join Bonus" for potential Bus Captains from HK$12,000 to HK$18,000. Also, applicants who already possess a valid bus driving license will be eligible to receive an additional bonus of HK$10,000, this amount has doubled compared to our previous package. Therefore, a typical new full-time Bus Captain working an average of 10 hours per day, with the new join bonus and bus driving license bonus, would receive an average monthly salary of up to HK$30,000.

This new recruitment arrangement is designed to coincide with the Mid-Autumn Festival and Night Vibes Hong Kong campaign and enhance the Bus Captain recruitment pipeline from now until the end of October.
