Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) forecasts that Typhoon Saola will enter Hong Kong within 800 kilometers later this Wednesday (August 30).
Depending on the size of Saola's circulation and its distance from the Pearl River Estuary, the Observatory will assess the need to issue a tropical cyclone warning signal in the middle to late part of this week.
According to the Observatory, as there is a chance that Typhoon Haikui located to the east of Saola may develop further and may 'interact' with Saola, the subsequent path of Saola is subject to greater variability.
The Observatory also reminds the public to pay attention to the latest weather forecast.
