Samuel Hui clinches first gold for HK in Chengdu Universiade
Hong Kong's wushu athlete Samuel Hui clinched first gold for the SAR at the 31st FISU World University Games on Saturday (July 29) in Chengdu, China.
Hui won the men's Taijijian event with a score of 9.726.
Lau Chi-lung, meanwhile, bagged a silver medal in the men's Nanquan earlier today, losing to Cao Maoyuan from mainland China.
The SAR sent its largest-ever delegation to the games, with over 140 athletes competing in 12 events, including gymnastics, fencing, swimming, and taekwondo.
