Tuen Mun suicide | 66-year-old man suspected of attempted murdering daughter with brain disease
The case of attempted murder and suicide occurred yesterday (May 25) in Tuen Mun, in which a 66-year-old man is suspected of plotting to kill his 39-year-old daughter with a plastic bag over her head, and then hanged himself to death.
It is said that the deceased's daughter was born with brain disease, with the daily need for a wheelchair to walk, and rely on her parents to take care of her.
The man left a suicide note to his wife before he killed himself, including that he was not sleeping well and was physically weak.
Yesterday afternoon, the man's wife suddenly heard the sound of screaming at home, ran to the living room and found that the husband was putting plastic bags over the daughter's head. After being stopped by his wife, the husband let go of his hands and left home.
The man gave his wife a note before leaving home, including that he was not sleeping well, was weak, and wanted to die with his daughter, hoping his wife could carry on by herself.
The woman was unable to trace her husband, so she called the police for help.
The police eventually found the man hanging by his belt in a dressing room.
A plastic bag, a belt and a suicide note were found at the scene, which is suspected to be related to the case.
