Songkran is the Thai New Year's national holiday, and this year's celebrations just concluded last week in Thailand. For those who could not personally be there to enjoy the festive vibes, there's a good place to head for this weekend.

This year, for the very first time, the Thai government is officially cooperating with Lan Kwai Fong to organize the Thai SELECT Carnival. The carnival will feature over 30 curated Thai brands and a host of cultural performances along LKF and Wo On Lane.

In this episode of Connie Talk, we're glad to have Ms. Chanunpat Pisanapipong, Thai Trade Commissioner and Consul in HK with us to introduce the essence of Thai culture.

According to Pisanapipong, the Thai SELECT label will serve as a marker of authenticity and quality for Thai restaurants that provide exceptional quality food in HK. "That is what makes this carnival different than others," she added.

Speaking of strengthening ties between HK and Thailand, Pisanapipong highlighted the great opportunities for trade and cultural exchanges between the two places.

"Now we have the Eastern Economic Corridor in Thailand, which I think is also connecting with the GBA, so there are lots of investment opportunities," she said.
