Chris Sun: Govt receives more than 20,000 applications for TTPS

The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr. Chris Sun, said today (April 13) that the popularity of the Top Talent Pass Scheme has far exceeded expectations.

By the end of March this year, more than 20,000 applications had been received and nearly 12,000 approved, with more than 9,200 people having received visas to come to Hong Kong within six months or having already arrived.

According to Sun, the number of applicants under the age of 40 is close to 80%, and the percentage of high-paid applicants who have applied together with their dependents is higher.

"So far, about 8,300 visas have been granted to dependents, and the applicants' families will also become part of the community and contribute to Hong Kong," said Sun.
