To promote Hong Kong's pop culture and bring in Chinese and foreign tourists to Hong Kong, Avenue of Stars Management Limited announced today (March 29) that it will hold its first breakdance parade and superstar exhibition, The Avenue of Pop Dreams, on April 23 to recreate the extraordinary stories of four legendary stars, Bruce Lee, Anita Mui, Leslie Cheung and Danny Chan.
The event is free of charge and over 300 people are expected to attend.
The parade will be held on April 23rd at 2 pm, starting at the Avenue of Stars next to the bronze statue of Bruce Lee, passing the bronze statue of Anita Mui, and ending at the bronze statue of the Goddess of Gold. The event invited the famous independent musician MC Jen DJ music production team to remix the famous music of the four superstars and inject new elements of breakdance and street dance, with five breakdance Hong Kong teams B-boy C Plus, B-boy SoSze, B-boy Four, B-boy SoulGreen and B-girl Ifree making their debut on the Avenue.
In addition to the break-dance parade, the Avenue of Stars will also host a two-week exhibition of the four legendary superstars, with panels displaying their iconic looks, describing their extraordinary stories of fame, and a QR code for the public and visitors to scan and relive the superstars' greatest hits in song, film and television.
