To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the death of superstar Leslie Cheung, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum presents the Miss You Much Leslie Exhibition, which is also a preview of the Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival 2023.
Three of Leslie Cheung's closest friends serve as guest curators to showcase and review Leslie's outstanding achievements in music and film, as well as his influence on pop culture, through his classic stage costumes, old photographs, recordings and video works, awards and personal collections.
A total of 61 exhibits are on display, many of which are being shown for the first time.
In his speech, the Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, Mr. Liu Ming-kwong, said that Leslie Cheung is one of the most representative figures of Hong Kong's popular culture.
"20 years later, we can still hear and see Leslie's works, which shows that he is well-loved by the public," he added.
The Director of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Mr. Lam Kwok-fai, expects that the exhibition will attract 100,000 visitors.
The museum has already received many inquiries from mainland visitors.
