
The Chief Executive, John Lee Ka-chiu, met with the media before attending the Executive Council meeting today (March 28).
Lee said he will go to Hainan tomorrow (March 29) to attend the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) 2023 Annual Conference.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang will also attend the opening ceremony and deliver a keynote speech on March 30.
In addition, the conference will be attended by leaders from governments, international organizations, business representatives and experts from around the world.
The theme of the BFA 2023 Annual Conference, to be held in Boao, Hainan from March 28 to 31, is "An Uncertain World: Solidarity and Cooperation for Development amid Challenges".
Lee said the conference will promote opportunities for international solidarity and cooperation.
He also noted that he would build relationships with different participants to introduce Hong Kong's strengths and opportunities, bring greater business opportunities to Hong Kong, increase its competitiveness and attractiveness, and work for its economy and development.
