As informed by foreign media, Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk admitted in an email to Twitter employees that Twitter is currently worth US$20 billion (about HK$156 billion), or less than half the US$44 billion he purchased in October last year.
According to Mr. Musk’s email about the new stock compensation program, Twitter employees will receive stock in X Corporation, the holding company he used to buy the company. Those awards will be granted under the US$20 billion valuation.
Mr. Musk also said in the email that he believed Twitter could someday be worth US$250 billion.
