Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make a week-long official visit to China starting on Monday (March 27) to meet its top leaders, including President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said on Sunday (March 26) that he will visit Guangzhou in Guangdong province, Boao in Hainan and Beijing at the invitation of Mr. Li from Monday to Saturday (Apr. 1), and this is the first visit to China since the Covid-19 epidemic.
According to PMO, PM Lee will meet Guangdong party secretary Huang Kunming in Guangzhou and will attend an official lunch hosted by Premier Li Qiang for foreign leaders attending the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference in Hainan.
PM Lee will then meet President Xi Jinping, Li Qiang and other officials in Beijing, who will host a welcome ceremony and a lunch banquet, said PMO.
