A delegation of foreign consular corps and business communities in Hong Kong went on a five-day trip to the Guangdong cities in the Greater Bay Area, including Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, and Zhuhai.
Answering questions from DotDotNews, Mr. Hwang Hau-Zen, head of the Singaporean Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, said in a media session that the trip had been an "eye-opener" for most members of the delegation.
Hwang said, "It's well-known for a long time that Guangdong Province is an economic powerhouse for China...I think the commitment to technology and advanced manufacturing in the region is very exciting to many members."
With Singapore being a member of ASEAN, Hwang added that he believed the ASEAN countries will go on to come to GBA to invest and manufacture, and that the trade relationship is only going to grow.
