Following the abolition of the preschool rapid antigen test for secondary school students this month, the Education Bureau (EDB) announced today (March 10) that starting from the 16th of this month, all school students are not required to complete the Rapid Antigen Test or take their body temperature before returning to school every day, as well as that for all school staff and visitors.
According to the EDB, schools should continue to monitor the overall health of teachers and students. If an outbreak of infectious disease is suspected, schools should refer to the Guidelines on Prevention of Communicable Diseases in Schools/Kindergartens/Kindergartens-cum-Child Care Centres/Child Care Centres of Center for Health Protection of Department of Health, and report the case to the Centre following the relevant mechanism.
The Bureau said schools can also refer to the EDB's website for additional information on infectious diseases, continue to implement various hygiene measures, and maintain a clean and hygienic campus environment at all times to protect the health of teachers and students.
