A hotel site at 11 Middle Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, was on fire the day before yesterday (Mar. 2) late at 11:11 pm.
At about 9 o'clock this morning (Mar. 4), there was smoke coming out of the site. In order to prevent the scene from catching fire again, many fire engines arrived at the scene for help.
In the incident, the external scaffolding of the building was burned in many places, and some workers came to the scene afterward to remove it. As a result, a large number of scaffolding was left on the ground at the scene, which may have contributed to another fire.
According to the Transport Department, the entire route of Middle Road between Nathan Road and Salisbury Road and the first lane of Salisbury Road towards Hung Hom near Middle Road are still closed due to the fire.
In addition, vehicles are prohibited from turning left into Mody Road from Nathan Road to Salisbury Road. Drivers are advised to avoid the busy traffic at the above address.
