Tokyo Olympic gold medalist and Hong Kong fencing prodigy Edgar Cheung Ka Long won the bronze medal at the FIE World Cup in Paris, France, winning his first medal of the new season.
Edgar Cheung, who was exempted from the preliminaries, performed well in the first two rounds, beating Germany and Italy, and then won in the round of 16, narrowly beating the 27th-ranked Hungarian.
