
The 16th Asian Film Awards (AFA) announced its shortlist today (Jan. 7), and Hong Kong film "Where The Wind Blows" was nominated for three awards, including Best Actor Tony Leung and Best Supporting Actor Michael Hui.
On being nominated for the Best Actor award, Tony Leung said, "First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement, and I'm so happy to be nominated for the Best Actor award at the Asian Film Awards again. As a HK actor, I am honored to be nominated alongside such talented actors from all over Asia."
Michael Hui was also pleased. "It's very difficult to make films nowadays, so I'm glad to help out, to help young filmmakers and HK films, "he said.
The AFA is one of the major annual events in the Asian film industry, recognizing outstanding achievements and acknowledging the different genres of film productions and outstanding practitioners in the film industry across Asia.
