Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tin Sum, Tai Wai last night (January 5) in which a 91-year-old man died.
At about 9:20 pm, a taxi driven by a 54-year-old man was traveling along Chui Tin Street towards Lung Hang Estate. When approaching 2 Chui Tin Street, it reportedly knocked down a 91-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to Prince Wales Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 10:30 pm.
The taxi driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South is underway.
