Relocation of most of Inland Revenue Department's offices to Kai Tak to be completed by next Monday

The Inland Revenue Department announced today (January 5) that the relocation of most of the offices of its units and sections currently located at the Revenue Tower, Wan Chai, to the newly built Inland Revenue Centre at 5 Concorde Road, Kai Tak, Kowloon, will be completed by next Monday (January 9). From January 9 till May (tentative), only the Computer Back Up (Accounts) Section, Estate Duty Office, Refund Section and Tax Reserve Certificates Section will remain at the Revenue Tower, Wan Chai.

Members of the public planning to visit the department should note the office locations of respective units and sections. The business hours and contact telephone numbers of the respective offices will remain unchanged.

Cessation of drop-in box service at Revenue Tower, Wan Chai

The drop-in box currently located at G/F of the Revenue Tower, Wan Chai, will cease to provide service after 5.30pm on January 6. Members of the public should use the drop-in box located at G/F of the Inland Revenue Centre, Kai Tak, for any drop-in service thereafter.

Updating of the Interactive Telephone Enquiry System

To facilitate system updates, the department's 24-hour Interactive Enquiry Service hotline (187 8088) will be suspended from 8.30am on January 7 to 5pm on January 8. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused. During that period, members of the public can visit the department's website (www.ird.gov.hk) for tax information.
