The Leisure & Cultural Services Department is inviting applications for the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Funding Scheme until noon on February 15, 2023.
The funding scheme consists of two parts, the Community-driven Projects 2022 and the Partnership Projects 2022.
The community-driven projects' scope of support covers projects related to the items in Representative List and the Inventory of the ICH of Hong Kong.
For the partnership projects, applications are invited for four items, which are the Survey & Research for Enriching the ICH Inventory of Hong Kong, ICH for All, ICH Mobile Centre, and Thinking Beyond ICH.
The department said the funding scheme aims to support local individuals and organizations with relevant experience to carry out ICH projects with a view to strengthening the safeguarding, research, education, promotion and transmission of Hong Kong's ICH items, as well as to aid the transmission of ICH by local bearers and bearer organizations.
By engaging the community's participation in safeguarding ICH, the department also hopes the scheme could enhance public awareness, understanding and respect in regard to ICH.

A briefing session will be held at 3 pm on January 9 at the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Museum of History in Tsim Sha Tsui to brief interested parties on the content and application details of the funding scheme. Registration for the session can be made online.
