Cathay Pacific Airways Limited today (Dec. 29) said that 20% of its flights to Japan next month will not be available because Japan does not allow additional flights, announcing the cancellation of the flights to Fukuoka and Nagoya from tomorrow until further notice.
The Japanese authorities announced today that for direct flights departing from Hong Kong and Macao, airlines can carry passengers to New Chitose Airport, Fukuoka International Airport and Naha airports if they are sure that there are no passengers on board who have stayed in the Chinese mainland in the past seven days.
Cathay Pacific said it has been actively communicating with the relevant Japanese authorities.
