LegCo Election Committee constituency by-election nomination finishes with six eligible candidates

The 2022 Legislative Council Election Committee constituency by-election nomination period closed on Nov. 14.

Six people have applied, including Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macao Studie Governor Gary Wong Chi-him, Prof. Wong Kam-kai, Central Committee member of New People's Party, founder of Save HK Adrian Ho Wan-chai, Hong Kong I.T. People Association's Chairman Ken Lee Kwong-yu, Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner Chan Wing-kwong, and General Manager of SenseTime Hong Kong Sheung Hoi-lung.

The Government announced today (Nov. 23) that the Candidate Eligibility Review Committee considered the six candidates were found to be in compliance with the statutory requirements and conditions of upholding the Basic Law and bearing allegiance to HKSAR, and their nominations were ruled eligible.

A by-election will be held on December 18 to fill four vacancies in Legislative Council Election Committee constituency sector.
