Be My Guest | Bridging the gap: Pakistani publisher hopes to deepen friendship with China through books

Ferozsons Group was founded in 1894 in Lahore, the capital of Pakistan, and established its first printing house in the same year in Chohotay Mufti Baqar, the historic city of Lahore. Up to now, the Ferozons Group has published more than 8,000 titles and publishes more than 60 new titles every year. As reliable and innovative publishing and printing company, Ferozsons has a good reputation for being "Made in Pakistan" in the country and abroad.

As the fifth generation of the business, Danyal Salam is committed to the spirit of his predecessors and is eager to "go one step further". He is extremely grateful for the widespread acclaim the business has received. With a business that carries the laughter and happiness of the Pakistani people, Danyal strives to be the best at what he publishes. "Because we are representing Pakistan in different parts of the world."

To this day, the friendship between China and Pakistan remains strong. Danyal has been to China many times and expressed his love for China and its people. "I love China, I love Chinese culture, and I love people there." Danyal also hopes to take this opportunity to promote Pakistani culture to China and even the world, as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has facilitated deeper cooperation between Chinese and Pakistani enterprises.

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China will be held soon. Danyal expressed his best wishes for China to continue to flourish and create a brighter future. "We believe that China can, of course, do it."

How have the Ferozsons become a mainstay of the Pakistani printing industry? What does China look like to Pakistanis? How can China-Pakistan cooperation be sustained? Watch the video and listen to Danyal's presentation to find out more.
