Hong Kong on Saturday (Oct. 1) reported 3,907 new COVID-19 infections, of which 226 were imported cases.
According to the Centre for Health Protection, the 3,681 local infections included 914 PCR test-confirmed cases and 2,767 self-declared positive cases.
Meanwhile, six more COVID-related deaths have been reported in the past day, bringing the death toll in the fifth wave of infections to 10,167.
