An accident happened yesterday (July 31) after the tour concert "SUMMER SWAG 2022" of PSY, the original singer of "Gangnam Style", resulting in the death of a worker.
According to the South Korean media, a 20-year-old male worker who was responsible for removing the lighting in the concert venue fell from a height of 20 meters at the Gangneung Stadium in Gangwon Province yesterday afternoon, local time, and was taken to the hospital where he was confirmed dead afterwards.
The police initially concluded that the man slipped and fell during the demolition operation, and are now investigating the cause of the accident.
The day before the accident, PSY had just finished his performance in Gangneung City and performed a number of "water spray" in his solo show. He revealed earlier in the variety show that each wet show will use 300 tons of water to create the effect.
The show has been criticized for its "water spraying" session because of the drought in many areas of South Korea and the increased risk of spreading COVID-19 when the masks become wet.
