The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will hold the Sport For All Day 2022 on Sunday (August 7), and the public can start to book the venue from today.
This year, the slogan will remain "Stay Active, Healthy and Happy!" to encourage people of all ages and abilities to engage in regular sports and physical activities, and promote the benefits of exercise for the body and mind.
On the event day, a series of free sports and recreation programmes will be offered at designated LCSD venues across the 18 districts, while most of the LCSD leisure facilities will be open for free use by the public.
Members of the public can make bookings via the Leisure Link booking counters at LCSD venues (excluding Self-service Kiosks) and Internet booking from 7 am on August 1 (Monday) onwards, on a first-come, first-served basis, for the free use on August 7 of the available leisure facilities (the Leisure Link booking counter services at TuenMunRecreation and Sports Centre and water sports centres/holiday camps/Leisure Link booking counters at District Leisure Services Office will start from7:45 am and 8:30am respectively).
The LCSD said that the hirer must be one of the users. If the hirer does not pick up the venue after 10 minutes from the start of the booking period, the facility will be transferred to another person on the waiting list. If the hirer does not pick up the venue and fails to cancel the booking as required, or is found not to be present during the booked session, he/she will receive a no-show record. Two no-show records within 30 consecutive days will result in a 90-day suspension on booking LCSD's paid recreational facilities.
