Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism congratulates Grace Lau on winning bronze medal in The World Games 2022

The Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Kevin Yeung, today (July 9) extended his congratulations to Hong Kong karate athlete Grace Lau on winning a bronze medal in the Women's Kata event in The World Games 2022.

Yeung said, "Having achieved outstanding performance in a number of international sports competitions in recent years, Grace has excelled again at The World Games 2022 this time and won a bronze medal. We share her joy and take pride in her. I also wish the Hong Kong athletes remarkable performance in the other matches of The World Games."

As an 11-day international multi-sport event organized from July 7-17 with the support of the International Olympic Committee, The World Games 2022 features 33 events. A total of 17 athletes from Hong Kong take part in this year's games, competing in eight events.
