Online virtual exhibition marks 2nd anniversary of promulgation of HK National Security Law
Marking the second anniversary of the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law, the Security Bureau (SB) updated the content of the Hong Kong National Security Law online virtual exhibition today (July 2), enriching the content and bringing more fun to visitors.
To enhance public understanding of the legislative background, importance and significance of the Hong Kong National Security Law, SB first launched the Hong Kong National Security Law online virtual exhibition in July 2021, recorded visits reaching 270,000 thus far. The online exhibition, which uses The Lab gallery on the 5/F of the Hong Kong Museum of Art as its virtual background, comprises six zones covering the importance of the Hong Kong National Security Law, the legal regime, enforcement mechanisms, major provisions and effectiveness, plus explanation of the work of the disciplined forces in safeguarding national security. Mini games are also provided for visitors to assess their understanding of the Hong Kong National Security Law.
After updating, the Hong Kong National Security Law online virtual exhibition provides not only more comprehensive exhibition content, but also new mini games which will enable the youth to test their understanding of the Hong Kong National Security Law through lively and interesting means.
In addition, SB especially puts on display extracts of the national security education picture book entitled "Our Country Our Security" in the updated exhibition, so as to enable our young peopleto enhance their understanding of the holistic view of national security as well as the Hong Kong National Security Law in easily comprehensible and interesting manner.
SB will also showcase in the exhibition in due course the winning entries of the slogan-cum-poster design competition under the "2022 Let's Join Hands in Safeguarding National Security" Programme to commend the winning students. The programme is jointly organised by SB and the Education Bureau, with the aim to promote the joint participation of teachers and students and enable national security education to take root and thrive in schools.
The public is welcome to visit the virtual exhibition website for a 360-degree experience in learning about the Hong Kong National Security Law on all fronts, thereby gaining better appreciation of the importance of safeguarding national security and law abidance.
