Watch This | Rev Dr Edmund Ng: Religious people will work together to ensure HK's prosperity and stability
Rev/Dr Edmund Ng, head of the School of Christian Ministry and Programme Director, delivered a speech at a general debate of the United Nations Human Rights Council regarding achievements over HKSAR's 25 years on Thursday (June 23).
Rev/Dr Edmund Ng indicated that the freedom of speech in religious and academic areas has maintained under the implementation of "one country, two systems" in the past 25 years. After the implementation of the National Security Law, freedoms have been more fully guaranteed in Hong Kong.
He wanted to show the world that Hong Kong has a fair and loving society, and the religious people are willing to work together to ensure the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong. "As Hong Kong pursues the common values of humanity, we hope to achieve the unity of all countries, and to create a community that is loved by God and humanity!" Rev/Dr Edmund Ng said.
