The Guangzhou Metro released a message on Weibo late Thursday night saying that at around 7:30 pm that evening, a foreign object was suspected to have drifted onto the tracks between Xinhe and Taiping stations on Metro Line 14 due to strong winds. Due to the large size of the foreign object, a power outage was required.
