
Wong Chun-hin, a Hong Kong football player, died yesterday at the age of 26 according to Hong Kong First Division team Sham Shui Po's Facebook page in the early hours of today (June 7).
At around 6 pm yesterday (June 6) evening, a man fell from a height in King Mei House, Shan King Estate, Tuen Mun, causing a loud noise in the building. Security guards followed the noise and reported the incident to the police. Paramedics later confirmed that the victim had died. No suicide note was found at the scene and it is believed that he had fallen from a staircase in the upper building.
Sham Shui Po, a Hong Kong First Division team, confirmed through their Facebook page today that their player, Wong Chun-hin, died yesterday at the age of 26. Many people in the local football industry took to social media to express their condolences after learning about Wong's death.
Wong, who played for Eastern Long Lions as a youth player, had played for Hong Kong Rangers FC and Lee Man in the Hong Kong Premier League and played over 100 matches in the local top league. He was also a member of the Hong Kong U23 team and represented Hong Kong in the Hong Kong Macau Interport. In the online article, Team Sham Shui Po expressed its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Wong and thanked the community for their concern.
