Ashley Bachelor, the ex-wife of NBA star Rajon Rondo, successfully filed for an emergency protection order against him last Friday (May 13). According to her, Rondo threatened her at home with a gun last Wednesday (May 11).
His sudden rage was caused by Bachelor's asking her children to help her wash clothes while Rondo and the child were playing video games. She said Rondo shouted, "You're dead." He broke the game console, rushed out of the room, and turned back with a gun after 15 minutes, according to his ex-wife. He banged on the back door window with a gun outside the house and then screamed at the two children and Bachelor.
Bachelor also said that the Cavalier player has a tendency to be nervous and violent, and often uses foul language to yell at the two children.
Police have not yet arrested Rondo, and the NBA says it has been informed of the incident and is trying to get more information. The court has asked Rondo to hand over all guns he has.
