Carrie Lam: HK to further release social curbs from Thursday, bars to reopen
Chief Executive Carrie Lam said today (May 17) at a press conference that the epidemic situation in Hong Kong has stabilized over the past week and the risk remains manageable, with the number of confirmed cases remaining at 200 to 300 per day.
The second phase of the relaxation of social distancing rules, including the extension of dine-in hours to 11:59 p.m., increasing the upper limit of people at banquets to 120, and the reopening of bars, party rooms, nightclubs, karaoke establishments, and mahjong parlors, will be implemented from Thursday as scheduled.
