HAD distributes RAT kits to people in need in Tsuen Wan and Eastern District

In light of positive test results for the COVID-19 virus from sewage samples collected in Tsuen Wan and Eastern Districts, the Home Affairs Department (HAD) said on May 15 that the Tsuen Wan District Office (TWDO) and the Eastern District Office (EDO) have distributed a total of about 157,000 COVID-19 rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in the districts.

The TWDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers, and property management staff living and working in Park Island for voluntary testing through the property management company. The TWDO also distributed rapid test kits to households living in Tin Liu New Village, Ma Wan Main Street Village and Ma Wan Fishermen Block for voluntary testing through the Rural Committees.

In addition, the EDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Kai Tsui Court, Hiu Tsui Court, Cheerful Garden, Fullview Garden and Harmony Garden for voluntary testing through the property management companies.

The HAD made the above arrangements to identify infected persons early.
