The District Offices under the Home Affairs Department have been distributing anti-epidemic service bags to all households in Hong Kong through various channels since April 2, including street sleepers through the assistance of non-governmental organizations. In Sham Shui Po and Yau Tsim Mong where there are more clustering of street sleepers, the respective District Offices, together with non-governmental organizations, distributed anti-epidemic service bags to street sleepers at locations where they usually gathered in their districts on April 4. Street sleepers were encouraged to take rapid tests voluntarily for early identification of infected persons so as to cut the transmission chain in the community as early as possible.

The District Officer (Sham Shui Po), Paul Wong, passed the anti-epidemic service bags to the Salvation Army. He then visited the Lei Cheng Uk Playground and the Tung Chau Street Park with the District Social Welfare Officer, Ricky Yu, and the person in charge of the Health Support Services for Street Sleepers in Sham Shui Po District, among others, to distribute anti-service bags to street sleepers. The SSPDO will continue distributing anti-epidemic service bags to street sleepers in the district with the assistance of the Salvation Army.

The District Officer (Yau Tsim Mong), Edward Yu, and the District Social Welfare Officer (Kowloon City/Yau Tsim Mong), Lilian Cheung, together with the Integrated Services Team for Street Sleepers operated by the Salvation Army, which provides welfare and support services to street sleepers in the district, distributed anti-epidemic service bags in the vicinity of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui. The YTMDO will continue distributing anti-epidemic service bags to street sleepers in the district through the Integrated Services Team for Street Sleepers operated by the Salvation Army, whose nurses would provide appropriate assistance to the street sleepers.

The District Offices will continue distributing anti-epidemic service bags through various channels and urge members of the public to do self-testing every day on April 8, 9, and 10 using the rapid antigen test kits in the bags to achieve the goal of "early identification" in the epidemic fight to cut transmission chains in the community as early as possible.
