HKTV mall may start canceling customers' online orders as it faces 'unprecedented pressure'
HKTV mall said on Thursday (Mar. 3) that it may start canceling customers' shopping orders as the online retailer is now facing "unprecedented pressure" on its operation.
Customers' shopping orders may be canceled, and they will be notified as soon as possible, it added.
The company said it faces a severe shortage in manpower due to surging COVID-19 infections. It is making every effort to sustain operations, with some backend office staff helping with warehouse and frontline tasks.
The online retailer also said some suppliers and merchants are unable to fulfill orders, and logistic partners suspend services. A citywide compulsory testing, which possibly comes with a lockdown, also made the situation more complicated and unpredictable. HKTV mall added that every effort will be made to notify customers as early as possible.
