About 130,000 people who have collected the consumption voucher of the previous round via Octopus will receive the remaining HK$1,000 voucher under the first round of consumption voucher scheme on March 16, the Hong Kong government announced today (Feb. 27).
They will also successively receive SMS notifications on the disbursement on that day.
The people concerned may collect the vouchers by tapping the card at the Subsidy Collection Points of the Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme, designated convenience stores and supermarkets, Octopus Service Points or via the Octopus mobile app.
The deadline for collection is September 30.
Due to the severe epidemic situation in recent months, a very small proportion of people who have received their previous-round vouchers through Octopus, may not be able to achieve the cumulative total eligible spending requirement of $4,000 with a small shortfall by the deadline.
Hence, the Government decided to make the special arrangement to disburse the last $1,000 voucher on March 16 to all those who have not yet received the disbursement. The deadline for collection is also September 30.
