The Hong Kong Guide photomap edition 2022 went on sale today (Jan. 25) and its electronic version e-HongKongGuide can be downloaded for free from the Lands Department's website.
The 552-page guide features detailed maps of the city and a series of orthophotos produced from aerial photographs taken in 2020 and 2021.
Every map page is preceded by its corresponding orthophoto and labeled with major places, streets and trails so that readers can have a good and quick grasp of Hong Kong's geographic environment and relevant spatial information.
Moreover, the guide provides gazetteers of street and place names, indexes of estates, buildings and public services, as well as information on public transportation.
The electronic version can be read by desktop computers and applications on mobile devices in offline mode.
Users can easily locate their positions on the e-HongKongGuide maps using free mapping applications with satellite positioning functions.
The guide, priced at HK$128, is available at all map sales outlets and the online map shop of the department's Survey & Mapping Office, the General Post Office, Kowloon Central Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Mong Kok Post Office, Kwun Tong Post Office, Tuen Mun Central Post Office and designated local bookstores.
