Following the closure of Stand News and Citizen News, Mad Dog Daily, founded by former Legislative Council member Raymond Wong Yuk-man, also announced its cessation of operation last night (Jan. 3). On his YouTube channel last night, Wong declared the cessation of Mad Dog Daily's operation and removed the website and social media platform articles suspected of incitement.
Mad Dog Daily was launched on March 18, 1996, as a Chinese-language newspaper and sold for HK$5 at the time. On July 9, 1998, Mad Dog Daily announced that it would cease publication until 2018, when it resumed operations and switched to online media.
