The Hong Kong Heritage Museum (HKHM)'s "A Man Beyond the Ordinary: Bruce Lee" exhibition will be open to the public from tomorrow (Nov. 28).

Speaking at the opening ceremony today (Nov. 27), the Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Joe Wong, said that in commemoration of the eighty-first birthday of Bruce Lee, the HKHM specially selected this memorable occasion to launch the opening of the exhibition. The HKHM's collaboration with the Bruce Lee Foundation in 2013, the "Bruce Lee: Kung Fu‧Art‧Life"exhibition was a great success and attracted more than 3.7 million visitors. This revamped exhibition displays new exhibits and photos of Bruce Lee, with large-scale lighting exhibits and various interactive installations added. Offering a diverse visiting experience, the exhibition takes visitors back in time to revisit the life journey of the martial arts superstar through his films, martial arts and life story.

Bruce Lee's daughter, the President of the Bruce Lee Foundation, Ms Shannon Lee, also attended the ceremony online in Los Angeles, the United States. She sincerely thanked the HKHM for curating the revamped version of the exhibition with many interactive installations introduced. She also appreciated the enthusiasm of Hong Kong people on the Bruce Lee's legacy over these decades. It is the mission of the Bruce Lee Foundation to provide access for people to Bruce Lee's practices and teachings to enhance personal growth and spread harmony, which forms the basis of this exhibition.

Other officiating guests today included the Vice President of Programme Syndication and Distribution of Fortune Star Media Limited, Mr Alfred Ng; the Chairman of the Museum Advisory Committee, Mr Stanley Wong; the Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, Mr Vincent Liu; and the Museum Director of the HKHM, Ms Fione Lo. Director Joe Cheung, who had worked with Lee, and actors Chin Ka-lok and Stephen Au, also joined the sharing session.

The exhibition will last for five years from November 28 to 2026 at the HKHM (1 Man Lam Road, Sha Tin). The exhibition is presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), jointly organised by the Bruce Lee Foundation and the HKHM, and is sponsored by Fortune Star Media Limited. Due to copyright restrictions, no photography and video-recording is permitted in "A Man Beyond the Ordinary: Bruce Lee" exhibition.
