A funeral with full honors was held today for Chief Inspector of Police (Posthumous) Lam Yuen-yee.
Chief Executive Carrie Lam, together with Chief Secretary John Lee, Secretary for Security Tang Ping-keung and other senior government officials, attended the funeral.
After a ceremony at the Universal Funeral Parlour in Hung Hom, the cortege traveled to the Small Boat Division of Marine Police at Stonecutters Island, then on to Gallant Garden in Wo Hop Shek for the burial service.
Lam's casket was draped in the flag of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
She died while carrying out her duties in waters off Sha Chau in September.
