Not An Outsider EP2 | English teacher and YouTuber keen to speak out for China on international affairs

“I could walk down the street one week, and a week later I walked down the same street, and there's a new building. The rate of change and the pace of building and development in China is truly breathtaking” Barrie has lived in Guilin, China for seven years, and defines the country as his home.

Besides teaching in a university, Barrie makes videos about his comments on current affairs. The spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hua Chunying cited his video when she talked about Xinjiang issues, to defend against a BBC journalist’s senseless questions. Barrie has gained lots of followers and support on the Internet. He is vocal about speaking out for China, as well as showing a real China to the West.
