In order to provide more convenient consular services to overseas compatriots and realize "doing it on the palm of your hand" and "zero errands", according to the unified deployment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic Of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will officially launch the "China Consular Affairs" App on May 31, 2021.

The enabled functions include pension eligibility certification for people living abroad, consular certification check, consular news information, consular service (including 12308 one-click call), etc. Other functions such as online processing of "Passport Travel Certificate" and "Emergency Travel Certificate" will be launched at a later date and will be announced at that time.

After the launch of "China Consular Affairs" App, people living abroad no longer need to apply for a paper version of the "Eligibility Form for Receiving Pension for People Living Abroad" from the Chinese embassies and consulates abroad or the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong and Macao.

After logging into the App, if you select the "Pension Eligibility" business module, fill in the basic personal information and verify your identity completely and accurately, the information will be automatically pushed to the relevant local human resources and social security departments in the mainland for review and approval, which usually takes no more than 10 working days, and applicants can check the results online.

If the online submission fails or you cannot check the audit result, you can contact the Chinese Documents Division of the Consular Department of the Office to apply for the paper version of "Eligibility Form for Receiving Pension for People Living Abroad" on site.

Address of Chinese Documents Office: 3/F, China Resources Building, 26 Harbour Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong.

For inquiries, please call (852) 34132404.

The "China Consular Affairs" App can be downloaded from Apple App Store, Tencent App Store, Xiaomi App Store, Huawei App Store or by scanning the QR code below.
