This episode of "Shanghai Through Our Eyes" features Krupikova Oksana, founder of the Bodylab Dance Center and head coach of rhythmic gymnastics.
Coming from Russia, Oksana has lived in Shanghai for more than a decade.
"Shanghai boasts many cultures, which makes it an international city," said Oksana.
Oksana's grandfather was a member of the Communist Party and he told Oksana stories about China since she was young.
The year 2016 witnessed the establishment of her first training center for rhythmic gymnastics and dance. Five years later, she now runs three dance centers.
According to her, "One of my dance centers is next to the Huangpu River, and I enjoy walking along the Bund after work."
"President Xi Jinping has proposed the notion of cultural confidence, which has significant implications for rhythmic gymnastics," Oksana added. "We will definitely forge ahead with our best efforts."
