Chinese Hong Kong actor Liu Kai-chi, who worked for TVB, Hong Kong's first over-the-air commercial station, for 25 years, has died at the age of 66 after suffering from stomach cancer, according to his company's Sina Weibo official account.

He died at Prince of Wales Hospital, with his family keeping him company. The actor stopped working after he was diagnosed with stomach cancer last December.

Liu starred in more than 90 television dramas and 70 movies, including the 2017 Hong Kong action film "Shock Wave" and the 2018 action film "Project Gutenberg," in his four-decade acting career.

He won the Best Supporting Actor award twice at the Hong Kong Film Awards for "Cageman" in 1992 and "The Beast Stalker" in 2008.

His death comes less than a month after veteran actor Ng Man-tat died at 70 of liver cancer.
