Exclusive | Ronny Tong: Decision to DQ is to preserve integrity of "one country, two systems"
The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPCSC), China's top legislature, has announced on last Wednesday voted to adopt a decision that would immediately disqualify Hong Kong's Legislative Council (LegCo) members who endanger national security.
Some people said the democracy has removed by that decision and people also worry, it would destroy the multi-party system as well.
Ronny Tong said the decision to disqualify HK’s Legislative Council (LegCo) members has got nothing to do with the National People's Congress (NPC). Also, it is in order to preserve the integrity of "one country, two systems".
