Coronavirus | HK reports 6 new infections, with a imported case
Hong Kong reported six new coronavirus cases today (Sept. 27), including one local infection of an unknown source.
According to the Center for Health Protection, the local patient is a 22-year-old male, working as a construction worker at Kai Tak. His nine co-workers have been admitted to quarantine centers. Two other workers have been admitted to the hospital with certain syndromes. One of them has been tested positive, which believed that was infected during working hours.
Other some 500 workers of different crafts don’t have close contact with the patient. Centre for Health Protection has sent them and the patient’s neighbors who live in the same building some sample bottles to collect their nucleic samples.
Among the five imported cases, one of them is a Philippine domestic worker who just came back to HK. The other four came back from Tunisia, the UK and India.
Hong Kong's total number of confirmed cases as of today stood at 5,066.
