
Secretary for Security of the Macao SAR government, Wong Sio Chak said on Aug. 6 that all aspects of customs clearance between Macao and mainland China are proceeding in an orderly manner.
Wong said, "The Macao SAR government is coordinating with various departments to communicate with mainland China for customs clearance, which is progressing smoothly, and I believe we will have good news soon."
Wong told the media that one focus of the current discussion is how to coordinate Macao's customs clearance with other provinces under the premise of epidemic prevention.
Macao announced on Aug. 6 that starting from 6 a.m. on Aug. 7, all persons entering Macao from HK are required to have a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 24 hours, and those who do not have the certificate may be refused entry.
